Hi, I’m Evelyn johnson.
My writing journey includes the publication of several short stories and poems, though The Way the Dust Clings marks my first full-length novel. I have been published through Free Spirit, Poet’s Choice, and The Dulcimer. My previous works have explored themes of injustice, struggle, identity, and loss, resonating with readers who value narratives that inspire, question, and call forth new perspectives. I have written across several genres, but speaking to the struggles of women and exploring themes of femininity have remained central to my writing journey.
I am from rural Georgia, and my ancestry can be traced back to the Muscogee tribe, which inspired my debut novel. My day job is serving the public as a member of law enforcement in the investigations division. Community, hearth, and the outdoors are central to my happiness. I hope to inspire joy and provide a unique perspective to those who view my work.
